OUR FRIENDLY STAFF
Here at Sierra Tahoe Computers we're so busy trying to take your business seriously, that we forget to do the same for ourselves (individually, that is).But, since most of our staff, while quite amusing a lot of the time (think of caged baboons), don't really liken themselves as writers or prefer to feign humility, I've taken it upon myself to rewrite their bios for my own enjoyment. So sit back, relax, and laugh a little at the expense of the staff of Sierra Tahoe Computers. You might even learn a bit about what they do.
Eric Olson (El Presidente)
Nichole Hull - CFO, Secretary, Treasurer
Brad Barnett - Graphic Designer
Zane Staggs - Lead Web Developer
Roma Pogosov - PC Tech.
Eric Olson. a.k.a. Fearless Leader or El Presidente.
What does Physics have to do with running a computer company? Absolutely nothing, but Eric got his degree in it from UC Santa Cruz anyway. Perhaps that's why we trust him. He's the former owner of Red Planet Productions and Rusted Planet Technology, founder of the Master Mind Alliance Web Group and a Steering Committee member of the Tahoe Center for Wholeness and the Visions 2020 Project. He's a Mac geek too, but spends most of his time coming up with new ideas, thinking outside the proverbial box and making us all laugh.
Nichole Hull - CFO, Secretary, Treasurer
Nichole has a lot on her plate. Trying to raise two of Eric's spawn and hold down the fort in accounts payable/receivable has her at wits end most of the time. Trained as a certified kids yoga instructor and Thai Message therapist and instructor helps her stay grounded. Get on her bad side and life gets "difficult". Stay on her good side and everything is Zen.
Brad Barnett. Graphic Designer.
Brad's a psyc rock climber. He ran a graphic design firm in Los Angeles specializing in promoting real estate agents, brokers and developers until he moved to Tahoe 16 years ago. Brad is our graphic designer and also manages our copy center, which means between putting together top-notch marketing materials for local businesses, he's running around like a chicken with its head cut off. Not that anyone here would notice.
Zane Staggs. Lead Web Developer.
Zane's a Univeristy of Arizona graduate and he's still all hot and bothered from living in a place that's like 1000 degrees most of the time. He has really good taste in music, but seems to think that blasting it will help him concentrate better while programming.
When he's not snowboarding or mountain biking, Zane is STCi's lead web developer. He is currently working to build a reusable/expandable code base for backend development. Zane has experience in C, C++, Java, Delphi, ASP, PHP, Javascript, VBScript, Actionscript and others, which means.he's multi-lingual as far as computers go.
Roma Pogosov. PC Tech.
A.k.a. "The Latvian," (because we need to make sure we can distinguish him from all of the other Russians that work at STCi) filed for Diplomatic Amnesty and frequently refers to STCi as "The Church." A graduate of the Rigas School of Economics, Roma has been in Tahoe for five years. He is one of our premier PC technicians: from Windows 95 to XP, Virus, Spyware and Adware Removal, Data Recovery, Smarthome devices, javascripts and DSL installation. Roma is an overall problem solver.
